Born in the 80’s in a small German town near Bielefeld, young Denise Rabe was mixing, scratching and beat juggling Hip Hop beats by the age of sixteen. Her journey into sound led to experiments with House and Drum & Bass and this led to her move to Berlin in 2011 to further feed her need for music.
Tel Aviv label Legotek took her in as a family member in 2012 but shortly after her brief affair with House music,
she surrendered to her roots and the darker side of music and in no time she was playing venues such as the legendary Tresor. Her Berghain debut took place in 2016. In 2017 she played in Detroit for one of the best known after show parties at Interface - Movement Festival besides Drumcell, DVS1, Tommy Four Seven and more.
Rabe’s development provided the opportunity to perform many roles. From radio show host on Berlin’s Sweatlodge, to artist booker for Ipse, until February 2015 when
she started hosting her very own clubnight: HIDE and SEEK. Carefully selecting guests like Claudio PRC, Luis Flores, VSK, Hector Oaks and Madalba among others.
2015 also saw her producer debut as part of Mutewax 003 but she truly made her mark shortly after on ARTS Records with "Penumbra", her first solo EP (incl. Rrose
Remix). Her second EP on ARTS "Oneirology" including a remix by Swedish duo SHXCXCHCXSH came up in June 2017.
As a DJ, her sound clearly reflects a natural ear for music with a flawless selection and technique and relentless hypnotic groove.
